Tione is a flourishing commercial centre and tourist destination. The town is located where the Chiese, the Rendena and the Giudicarie valleys meet, between the Brenta Dolomites, Lake Garda and the city of Trento.
Tione stretches out along the foot of Monte Gaggio and is bisected by both Sarca river and Arnò stream. The town played in the past a leading role in the Giudicarie when the seat of jurisdiction was moved here, and it enjoyed rapid development following the end of WWII.
Its favourable position and connections allow visitors to easily access the Adamello Brenta Nature Park and enjoy both mountain nature and sports. Several valleys are also a short distance from Tione and are perfect for hikes and excursions.
Tourists are provided with a wide array of choice in terms of sports, ranging from golf in Val Rendena, to snow sports in Bolbeno, in addition to the cycling paths and sports centres found in every valley - all of which are located nearby.
