In full operation until a few years ago, the Tognolli artisan forge dates back to the post-war period.
It worked, like many small popular factories, thanks to a water line that was brought up to the highest part of the structure with a system of canals. It fed two hydraulic wheels: one for the hammer, the other for the grinding wheels and the other smaller machines.
Inside, the blacksmith regulated the flow of water and consequently the speed of the hammer or grinding wheel by means of a lever.
