MMape Bee Museum
A museum that’s sweet as honey! Explore sounds, smells and tastes — like the local honey you can sample — in the company of guides who can answer any questions about the world of bees.
Housed in a watermill deep in the protected natural area of Ontaneta di Croviana, the MMape Mulino Museo dell'ape is a museum like no other. This is a real honey-making cooperative — the first and only one in Trentino — where you can follow the bee-keepers through every stage of the process, taste the sweet nectar and purchase products from the hive, sourced exclusively from small local companies. The itinerary consists of three parts: the beehive, enemies of bees, and the life of bees. You’ll get a close, engaging and interactive look at these marvellous insects, which are so important to our ecosystem. Nearby, visitors can enjoy the “Le Plaze” green area, for refreshments and a picnic area in a sunlit conifer wood.
